Lately, I’ve noticed it’s getting harder and harder to connect with others. Whether it’s personal or business, I’m finding that when you try and reach someone by email, in person, by phone, or even via US postal mail, the inquiry is often ignored.
Intentionally or otherwise, are we all too busy to care for one another anymore? What can we do as a society to fix that? How can you go out of your way to help a co-worker, a friend, a job seeker or a business partner to feel their effort is appreciated and reconnect with them on a more personal and emotional level when a touch point is received?
Additionally, do you have any suggestions for how we move past the “what’s in it for me” mentality and begin thinking more about the “how can I help you today” mindset? What are your thoughts? Do you have the time to comment or are you too busy?
