If you ever visited an arcade, it’s a given you’ve probably slipped a quarter into the famous Whack-A-Mole video game and spent time hitting moles over the head as fast as your reflexes allow.
Along those lines, most of us get up and tackle each day like a mole. We stick our heads out trying to get ahead, do things that make a difference in our communities, generate income for ourselves and our families, and generally just keep up with the daily domestic duties and chores required to survive.
Sadly, some days we end up on the receiving end of the hammer. Traffic jams. Bosses with tight deadlines. Cold coffee and more. The result? Inevitable stress, frustration and negativity in our lives. Possibly depression.
If you’re lucky, you have a supporting family member, friend, or a strong faith to pull you through hard times. (Prayer works. Try it.)
Therefore, the next time you encounter someone who’s not exactly chipper, happy or jovial, just remember, they may going through a rough patch in their life. It would be helpful if you listened to them, acknowledged their concerns, and then do what you can to help them as best you can. They’ll thank you for it. If you’re lucky, your actions will brighten your day too.
